Firefighters Quick Response Keeps Fire from Spreading into the Home
Orange California, July 30, 2025 – At 7:03 AM, Orange City Fire units were dispatched to a structure fire at 181 Craig Drive. Arriving at 7:08 AM, Orange Engine 4 observed smoke coming from the garage of a two-story home. Taking immediate action, Engine 4 initiated fire suppression efforts by forcing entry into the garage. Upon arrival, Orange Battalion 1 took command of the situation and called for a working structure fire response, directing crews to check for fire extension into the house and ensure all residents had evacuated. Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze, containing it in the garage. Residents expressed concern about seven missing animals, prompting a swift search by the firefighters, who ultimately located and returned all of the animals unharmed.
A total of thirty personnel from the Orange City Fire Department responded, with support from the Orange County Fire Authority and the Orange Police Department. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. The incident lasted approximately four hours and twenty-five minutes, and the cause of the fire, along with damage estimates, is currently under investigation.
