Firefighters Make Quick Fire Knockdown of Attached Garage
Orange, California, November 26, 2025 – At 4:54 AM, Orange City Fire units responded to a structure fire at 4122 E. Jordan Avenue. Responding units were on scene within four minutes and confirmed fire and smoke inside the attached garage of the single-story residence. Orange Engine 4 upgraded the incident to a working fire assignment and quickly began fire attack operations. Orange Battalion 1 established command and continued to assign arriving units to occupant status verification and securing utilities. The residence was confirmed unoccupied within 3 minutes.
In a show of caution, they used a flatbed tow truck to remove an electric vehicle from the garage. Electric vehicle lithium battery fires pose an added hazard to civilians and firefighters. Fortunately, the lithium battery was not involved. Fire knockdown of the garage interior was completed in approximately 10 minutes. Operations continued as a deep-seated fire reached the storage area inside the enclosed garage attic. Orange Truck 1 strategically performed vertical ventilation to direct heat and smoke. Aggressive salvage operations prevented extension to the remainder of the dwelling.
Approximately thirty fire personnel responded to the incident. The Orange City Fire Department received assistance from the Orange County Fire Authority, the Orange Police Department, Southern California Edison, and The Gas Company. No civilian or fire personnel injuries were reported, and the incident lasted approximately four hours. The cause of the fire and estimated damage are under investigation.
