Firefighters Respond to a Working Fire
Orange, California, June 4, 2026 – At 12:47 PM, Orange City Fire units were dispatched to a structure fire at 667 S. Fashion Park St. Responding units were on scene within six minutes and confirmed light smoke from a single-story apartment building. Orange Engine 5 was first to arrive and quickly began fire attack operations. Orange Battalion 1 established command and continued to assign arriving units to primary search and securing of utilities. Primary search confirmed all occupants were out with the exception of one dog. Firefighters quickly guided the dog out of the unit. Firefighters achieved fire knockdown within 10 minutes, preventing extension to the adjacent apartment unit.
Approximately thirty-four fire personnel responded to the incident. The Orange City Fire Department received assistance from the Orange County Fire Authority, Anaheim Fire and Rescue, the Orange Police Department, and Southern California Edison. Four adults and two children have been displaced and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross. One individual was transported for medical care due to smoke inhalation. There were no fire personnel injuries reported, and the incident lasted approximately two hours. The cause of the fire and estimated damage are under investigation.
