Room and Contents Fire Displaces 3 Orange Residents
At 9:14 pm on July 13, 2022, Orange Fire units responded to a reported residential structure fire on the 600 block of W. Dunton Ave. Upon arrival, Orange Engine 3 found heavy smoke and fire venting from a second-floor window of a two-story townhome. Orange Engine 3 upgraded the incident to a working fire and began attacking the fire. Additional crews pulled and stretched hose lines to assist in the fire attack. Orange Light Force 1 provided horizonal positive-pressure ventilation, secured utilities and began salvage operations. The fire was knocked down in approximately 20 minutes.
Twenty-five fire personnel responded to the incident. The Orange City Fire Department received assistance from Anaheim Fire and Rescue and the Orange Police Department. No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported. Three family members were displaced. The incident lasted three hours. The fire’s cause and damage estimate are under investigation.
